About Breathe With Lizzy

Welcome to Breathe With Lizzy LLC.

A space for healing, resilience, and transformation through trauma-informed yoga and holistic wellness.

I’m Lizzy B. Nicholls—trauma-informed yoga teacher, Holistic Wellness & Resilience Coach, and a master’s student on the path to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My work is rooted in personal experience, military service, and a deep calling to support others through their healing.

My journey took me to Israel, where I served in the Israel Defense Forces’ Search and Rescue Brigade. I was trained as a soldier who would have to deal with high-stress, often traumatic situations. I witnessed firsthand the impact of trauma and loss. In the years that followed, I navigated my own healing journey—living with autoimmune disease, confronting mental health challenges, and ultimately reconnecting to myself through yoga, breathwork, and holistic practices.

Along the way, I’ve taught English to African asylum seekers, mentored youth in North Philadelphia, and worked with inmates in maximum security prisons. These experiences deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the power of human connection.

My training includes:
• RYT-200 Trauma-Informed Yoga (Yoga School Yoga Institute)
• 30-hour Yin Yoga (Seva Studio)
• Certified Alternative Healing Coach (Place of Bliss Academy)
• B.A. in Criminology + In & Out Prison Rehabilitation Program (Temple University)

Through private sessions and community offerings, I guide others in processing trauma, regulating the nervous system, and reconnecting to their bodies and breath.

Breathe With Lizzy is more than a yoga practice—it’s a space for reclaiming your wholeness, one breath at a time.

Let’s take it day by day—together.

My Approach: Somatic, Trauma-Informed, and Holistic Healing

At Breathe With Lizzy, I integrate a multidimensional approach to healing, combining somatic practices, trauma-informed care, and holistic wellness to support the nervous system, release stored trauma, and foster resilience. My method is rooted in both lived experience and professional training, creating a safe, nurturing space for transformation.

Somatic Healing

Trauma is stored in the body, and true healing requires more than just talking—it involves moving, breathing, and reconnecting with the physical self. Through yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement, I help individuals cultivate body awareness, regulate their nervous system, and release tension in a way that feels safe and empowering.

Trauma-Informed Care

Healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and in control of our own process. My trauma-informed approach ensures that every session is guided by choice, empowerment, and respect for personal boundaries. Whether through yoga, coaching, or alternative healing modalities, I create an environment that prioritizes compassion, consent, and non-judgment.

Holistic Wellness

True well-being extends beyond just the physical or emotional—it’s about integrating mind, body, and spirit. My practice blends yoga, energy healing, mindfulness, and alternative therapeutic techniques to support individuals in achieving balance, self-awareness, and a deeper connection to themselves.

Resilience & Self-Discovery

Healing isn’t just about recovering from trauma...it’s about rediscovering yourself beyond it. My work focuses on helping individuals build resilience, develop self-compassion, and step into their own strength. Whether you're navigating stress, trauma, or personal transformation, I am here to support you in a way that honors your unique story and healing journey.

Let’s take this journey together...one breath, one step, one moment at a time

What people are saying about the healing and yoga sessions...

Rachel, PA

I have loved getting to know Lizzy as a teacher, practitioner and beautiful soul. She brings a unique blend of grounded, healing, trauma-informed energy while keeping the vibe of her classes fun, hip, and infused with great music. In her classes, we sweat, we ground, and we leave feeling strong and settled. It’s the perfect balance of a solid workout and calming, restorative practice. She reminds us that we are perfect exactly as we are, and that yoga is a practice. She never tells us that we “should” be doing something a certain way. She is a knowledgeable teacher who creates a loving, affirming space that is calming, energizing, healing, and fun!

Lizzy’s yoga classes are honestly everything I hoped yoga would be. I’ve tried other classes before and could never get into them...they either felt too slow, too fast, or just didn’t click. But Lizzy completely changed that for me! Her pace is perfect, she keeps things moving, but there’s enough time in each pose to really feel it and get what you need out of it.

She gives such clear cues about where your body should be, and always offers modifications or challenges depending on what her clients needs. I really appreciate how she checks in with everyone and creates a space that feels welcoming and supportive. The mindfulness she brings into the beginning and end of class helps me reset and feel grounded, especially after a long, chaotic week. I leave in less pain and a quiet mind!

I’ve always struggled with flexibility...like I couldn’t even touch my toes as a kid...but after consistently going to her classes, I’ve been able to do things I never thought were possible. I’ve seen real, lasting progress, and her class has become something I truly look forward to every week. I even avoid making plans on the days she teaches because I don’t want to miss it!

Lizzy is such a thoughtful instructor and has this amazing energy that makes her stand out. She also has her own niches, which you will appreciate the little extra things she does. Her classes are the perfect mix of strength, flow, and mindfulness. Highly recommend to anyone looking to build a consistent, feel good yoga practice.

Joy, PA

I’m 63 years old and spent most of my life refusing to try yoga. I always thought it wasn’t for me... too slow, too trendy, or just not something I could see myself doing. But after years of living with chronic back pain and a mind that never seemed to quiet down, I finally gave in and tried one of Lizzy’s classes.
I can’t believe I waited this long.
Lizzy has a gift, not just for guiding movement, but for making people feel safe, seen, and empowered at any age. Within a few weeks, my back—something that had hurt me every single day for years—suddenly stopped aching. I became consistent with her classes, not just because of the physical relief, but because my whole outlook started to shift. I feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to myself than I have in decades.
This practice with Lizzy hasn’t just helped my body—it’s helped my life. I’m grateful beyond words.

Working with Lizzy has been a transformative experience, helping me release stress and embrace a deeper sense of peace and well-being. I’ve been practicing yoga for just over a year, and I truly appreciate how Lizzy guides you through each movement with clarity and care, encouraging a mindful connection to the flow. Her classes are thoughtfully designed, allowing you to let go of the chaos of daily life and become fully present in the moment. Each session leaves you feeling grounded, renewed, and more capable of facing life’s challenges with calm and clarity. Lizzy’s teaching brings not only physical balance but also a genuine sense of joy and happiness into your life.

Sharon, PA

Since October 7th, I’ve felt a deep need for community support. I spoke with friends and family and felt drawn to join a women’s Torah group. At the time, staying in contact with family in Israel was a major concern, and my growing anxiety began to affect my body, which was already dealing with age-related changes, autoimmune issues, and joint pain. Tweaks in diet and exercise helped, but mentally I found myself wandering, lost in thoughts, and overwhelmed by the rapid changes surrounding me. I realized I needed a different kind of support.

I found Lizzy through a women’s chat group and took a leap of faith, attending her class with my daughter. The mix of ages immediately put me at ease. Lizzy met each of us where we were, offering gentle encouragement. I had limitations—and that was okay. She created an inviting, inclusive space that felt both grounding and uplifting.

Her classes go beyond movement. They carry deeper meaning—honoring those we’ve lost while inviting us to seek light and strength within ourselves. It’s a safe space amidst so much emotional pain, a place where stress is released through love, community, and self-connection.

I now look forward to that private, yet shared, experience every time Lizzy teaches. I make sure to carve out that small chunk of time, because I know that when I feel safe and held in love, I’m better able to offer the same to those around me.

Joe, PA

As a man, I wasn’t sure what to expect walking into a yoga class centered around healing and mindfulness—but Lizzy’s approach is unlike anything I’ve experienced. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed without judgment. Her presence is calming, and the way she leads the class makes it feel personal, purposeful, and deeply grounding.

I’ve carried a lot of tension—both physical and emotional—and Lizzy’s classes have helped me begin to let some of that go. It’s not just about stretching or poses; it’s about connecting to yourself in a way that feels real and sustainable. She holds space in a way that feels safe and strong.

Whether you're new to yoga or someone who’s just looking for a deeper sense of peace, Lizzy has a gift for making you feel like you belong. I'm really grateful I showed up. It’s helped me become more present, more at ease, and more connected—to myself and to those around me.
